absolutely low-class experience. frozen in my stone bed, even two duvets couldn't save me. i expected at least a complimentary upgrade for my troubles but got nothing. the food prices are ludicrous, tasteless food meant for staff gatherings, not guests. i almost gave a good review, but i just couldn’t. avoid this disappointment.

great service but average ambiance
The staff were incredibly helpful they coordinated a late-night pickup without issue. The room was very clean and comfortable giving a good rest after a long journey. The terrace view was stunning overlooking the landmark made for perfect evenings. City views were delightful especially at sunset.
The ambiance in the common areas felt a bit off at times.

Staying at Shahi Palace offered an incredible experience. The rooftop views over Jaisalmer Fort provided a stunning backdrop while enjoying delicious meals. The desert safari allowed me to explore remote dunes under an unforgettable night sky. Minor inconveniences with room lighting didn't overshadow the overall charm.

Stunning Views and Personal Touches
I had the pleasure of staying for 2 nights in a Deluxe Double Room, where the beautiful flooring and vibrant furnishings truly enhanced the ambiance. The roof-top restaurant offered delicious meals with breathtaking views of the fort, creating a mesmerizing dining experience. Akshay, our host, went above and beyond by organizing an unforgettable desert tour and even introducing us to local Holi celebrations, enriching our time in Jaisalmer. If I could suggest anything, it would be to ensure that water supply is consistent, as we experienced a brief shortage one afternoon.

Staying at Shahi Palace surprised me with its incredible rooftop views of Jaisalmer Fort. The ambiance on the terrace was delightful in the evenings. The room was cleaned daily, which made it comfortable. I appreciated the charming Rajasthani decor, creating a unique atmosphere. Akshay, the owner, gave a warm welcome and organized a desert safari that exceeded my expectations. Although the food at the restaurant was good, I felt the prices were a bit high considering the portion sizes. I experienced a brief water supply issue one afternoon, which was inconvenient during my stay. The hotel’s location offered a peaceful environment, a short walk from the bustling marketplace.

Some budget rooms lack windows, leaving guests staring at dark corridors, leading to initial discomfort. In cold weather, stone beds and inadequate heating make for a chilly stay as the cold seeps up through poor mattresses. While there’s a restaurant, the ambiance feels off, as there seems to be more of a gathering of staff’s friends rather than guests.

The beautifully carved stonework in my room was delightful, making me feel immersed in Jaisalmer's rich heritage. The rooftop terrace was a gem, adorned with silk pillows that invited relaxation while soaking in stunning fort views.
Improve room heating to combat cool nights.

None worth mentioning.
